On September 11, 2001, the Eagleson family—along with hundreds of others like them—lost a beloved family member in an event that shocked the world and shook the foundations of American culture. Brett Eagleson’s father, Bruce Eagleson, died that Tuesday morning in New York City, New York. Hijackers who hated the United States took control of four passenger planes. They flew one into each of New York’s World Trade Center towers, bringing those to the ground. Another targeted the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. A fourth didn’t reach its destination. It crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers on board chose to fight the hijackers.
In all, 2,977 individuals lost their lives on that devastating day.
This September marks the 20th anniversary of that tragic, evil event. While mourning continues, some victims’ relatives press the courts to answer their lingering questions. They hold that the government of Saudi Arabia was involved in the events. A lawsuit that puts responsibility on Saudi Arabia finally took a major step forward this year. After all this time, American government-employed investigators finally questioned former Saudi officials under oath. But those documents remain confidential.
The lack of information has vexed families who are convinced that the Saudi government gave support to the hijackers. Past investigations have identified ties between Saudi nationals and some of those who participated. But none have established direct government involvement. Attorneys for the victims plan to ask a judge to lift a protective order preventing their clients’ access to secret government documents. They also want to review testimony from the key subjects interviewed over the last year. The lawyers contend that this will provide clarity for the clients and apply pressure to produce the truth.
“The legal team and the FBI, investigative agencies, can know about the details of my dad’s death and thousands of other family members’ deaths. But the people who it’s most relevant to can’t,” says Eagleson.
“It’s adding salt to an open wound for all the 9/11 family members. . . . Sooner or later, this trial is going to become mainstream,” he adds. “They can’t keep things secret forever.”
God promises that He will bring everything that is hidden in darkness into light. (Luke 12:2-3) He judges with perfection. His judgment is filled with equity towards all the inhabitants of the Earth. Even if the current lawsuit does not provide the answers the Eaglesons and other want about the 9/11 events, God sees. He knows, and He is still in control and reigning justly.

I didn't read the article from here, but I got the magazine. This is so sad, I would be heartbroken if my family had been killed on 9/11!
Third
My mom was babysitting little kids when 9/11 happened. She saw it on the news, but had to keep calm because she didn't want to freak out the kids. Also, my brother was almost born on September 11, (not the same year), but thankfully he wasn't. That would be kinda weird.
4th
I never knew the Pentagon was hit by a plane
@Ralph-Lauren S
Yeah, two hit the world trade center, one in the pentagon, and the fourth plan crashed into a Pennsylvania field. September 11th is my grandpa's birthday :(. It must be kind of sad to be born on such a sad day.
Oh wait
Oh wait, I was reading Caroline's comment and I realized that it might have sounded like my grandpa was born on the exact day!! It wasn't the same year :).
(That would be weird)
this is mylee
@scarlet you grandpa would be young. XD
Tis is something that we will
Tis is something that we will never fully understand because we wernt alive. My mom was in biology class i think and she said someone came into the room and took her teacher out in the hall and they heard her scream and everyone was wondering what happened and they came back i and her teacher was crying and they pulled in a tv and wached it the rest of the day. also one of her friends had her mom in the Pentagon for work and didnt find out till a day or two later that she was fine! they saw the second plane hit. My dad was on his way too school and heard it on the radio. im not sure what my grandparents or aunts or uncles were doing
@ Gasser K
are you new?
And yeah, this an extremely tragic event, and I think they should make the trial or investigation public so people can have some closure
This was a sad day
my dad always shows me pictures and videos of this event on the memorial of it. it is really heart breaking to think of all the people who died or lost family members.
So sad. I think the 4th plane
So sad. I think the 4th plane was headed to the White House.
@Kiara J
Wow, that would have been really bad. I wasn't there, obviously.
@Everyone
There is a conspiracy/Truth that the terrorists chose September Eleventh because of the initials 911. You know what it means.
@Above
Oh no! That's terrible! That building blew up! :O

My grandma was born on Sept
My grandma was born on Sept 11 but not the same year. She was working in a hospital when it happened and saw it on the tv. My mom was actually very close to NYC when it happened. Yikes!
